Frequently Asked Questions

How do I begin or learn more?

We invite you to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation by completing the contact form below. This allows you to ask any questions you have about our services, chat about your needs and gives us the opportunity to see if we are a good fit!

What are the fees?

Individual Counselling & Psychotherapy - $160 per 50 minute session.

Clinical Supervision - Fees are based upon individual vs dyadic supervision and agreed upon terms. Please feel free to reach out to find out more.

How do I pay for my session?

Payment is due at the end of each session by e-transfer only. It is the responsibility of the client to submit the receipt to their insurance provider if applicable. A receipt will be issued to the client once payment has been received by the therapist.

Are therapy services covered?

Psychotherapy services by Registered Psychotherapists are not currently covered by OHIP in Ontario, but may be covered under your extended health care benefits/insurance. We do not direct bill insurance companies but will provide paid invoices to submit for reimbursement. Please ensure that your insurance specifically covers psychotherapy services provided by Registered Psychotherapists.

What should I expect in my first session?

During our initial session, we will spend some time settling in and getting familiar with each other. I will share more about the therapy process, discuss the service agreement, and get to know you a bit more. You will have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy and we will begin to explore how we can make this a meaningful experience for you!

Therapists understand that you may feel a bit anxious as you come into your first session. Our first session is mostly about building comfort and trust. It’s not about processing everything right away, but rather creating a safe, supportive space together where we can explore what you need, at your pace.

What should I know about virtual sessions?

At this time, all services are offered virtually (by video sessions or by phone call). A secure, encrypted video platform will be used for sessions which meet Canada’s Telehealth Regulations (including PIPEDA and PHIPA). Virtual care sessions will not be recorded (either audio/video) at any time.

We also invite clients to participate in their virtual sessions in a private space where you feel comfortable and can fully engage in the therapeutic experience.
